You guys, this cold weather struggle has been real! If you caught me Insta-Story, you would have gotten a glimpse of the northern lights photoshoot I did last Friday.

The aurora was as beautiful as always. The total darkness and clear skies were perfect for the northern lights to shine in all its glory.
The 3ºF chill did not bother me too much. I’ve done shoots at -27ºF in the past so this felt like a warm-up for the typically brutal months of January and February.
The one thing that bothered me the most was how dry my lips felt. By the third outfit change, my lips were hurting. I got a crack on my lower lip.
I’m no stranger to chapped lips. It’s something I’ve lived with as far back as elementary school. Although dry lips are something I deal with year-round, it gets more intense during the fall and winter. Having a lip balm handy is definitely an essential for me.
I’ve used many lip balms in my lifetime even homemade ones! I feel like I am late to the party by just learning about Herpecin L.
This baby is a beauty jewel! This intensely moisturizing lip balm also provides protection and relief from cold sores. And it contains SPF30 to protect and promote healing of the lips.
Did you know that 50-80% of U.S. adults suffer from cold sores? Cold sores may not be pretty but THIS lip balm can help treat and relieve the symptoms. Herpecin L has been under-the-radar and boosts of a loyal following and near 5-star consumer rating because it works.
Ready to try Herpecin L? This lip balm is available at Walmart. Your turn! What do you think about Herpecin L? Drop a comment below.

Looking great Louisa! And yes chapped lips are the worst- I am currently in the UK and I left my chapstick at home; my lips are ruined as I speak, so painful! Never heard of HerpecinL before, but I will check it out for sure.
Great post as usual love!
Thanks babe! Yikes, those are the worst. Hope you can get your lips moisturized soon.
It’s so hard keeping lips moist in cold temperatures. I’ve never heard of this particular lip balm, but I may need to give it a try if it works. I always appreciate it when lip balm comes with SPF as well.
Absolutely! It works for me. Read the reviews and product descriptions. SPF is a huge bonus.
Wow1 That’s crazy! I can’t believe it’s gotten that cold over there already! We have some of our hottest days in October and are all still wearing shorts! But when it gets cold, we do complain because we hardly ever get cold. So I will definitely look out for this. I know it helps me keep my lips from cracking when I drink lots of water but it’s really difficult when it’s cold!
Yes it has. It warmed up a few days ago (30+ºF) but summer is almost a distant memory for us. It can be hard to keep the lips moisturized and protected from cracking during the winter. Loving Herpecin L so far.
I do love this balm, as well. Fabulous photos!
Thank you Sheila!
First of all, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the pop of electric blue!!! Secondly, I’ve never actually heard of this product…I am ALWAYS looking for a good lip balm during the winter!
You’re so kind, Lisa. Thank you. Worth checking out Herpecin. You just might be hooked.
I have horribly dry lips (I am sure in part from not staying as hydrated aa i should). I have also sufferef from cold sores my entire life. I had no idea this balm existed. Going to try it for sure!
For sure! It’s an amazing product.
Such an amazing read. Being that I have a lot of family in the midwest, this is so helpful to now know. It is so hard to properly care for my lips in colder climates. This is definitely going to help visiting family a lot more comfortable for me.
Yay! Glad to hear, Shannon! :)
I have never heard of this product before. As someone who lives in Florida, the moment the weather changes quickly, my lips are cracking and picking at them is a bad habit that never turns out well. I’ll have to check it out and see how my lips feel!
I too had that habit. I learned the hard way, haha. Your lips will love you when you use this product.
I always have the hardest time keeping my lips moisturized during Fall and Winter. And many products I try seem to make it worse. However, I’ve yet to use Herpecin, so I’ll give it a try!
Definitely worth checking out Alaina.
I didn’t know about HerpacinL, but I will definitely check it out. My lips get SO dry in the winter, but my poor son has it even worse. Every year, he ends up with ring around the mouth because of the vicious cycle of licking his dry lips, then having them get even more chapped from the licking.
Oh no! Same thing happened to me growing up. Hopefully Herpecin will be all you need.
You look so pretty..I am in love with your bag :) Nice post friend! Kisses.

Thanks Jo!
To be honest, I never thought of using Herpecin but I am thinking about it now! I also have to say I love your scarf! I will look for HerpecinL at Walmart next time I am there! Chapped lips are no fun!
So true, chapped lips are no fun. Thank you for the sweet comment. I love the patchwork details of the African print scarf.
