I still remember the first time I made a cup of coffee.
You see, the pressure from pharmacy school was killing me. I desperately needed to stay awake when I woke up to study in the 24-hour library.

So, I took matters into my hands. Bought a coffee maker, ground coffee and proceeded to make coffee.
FAIL.
The coffee tasted bitter. And a few a lot of the coffee grounds made it into my coffee cup. Don’t ask me how this happened ?.
This is all to say that I’ve not always had the best relationship with coffee. All I needed was great coffee and Lord knows that my college budget had no room for daily coffee shop visits.
A few years later, I graduated from college and broke the news to my friends and family that I was moving to Alaska.
“Alaska! Why? Do you know anyone in Alaska?”, they asked.
The promise of an adventure in Alaska, The Last Frontier, was just too good to pass up! So like most adults, I got a job. A typical 9-5.
But I had no idea how exhausting it would be working full time and still creating time to pursue my hobbies, namely exploring Alaska and fashion blogging.
Then I learned about something amazing: cold brew coffee. Everyone and their neighbor talked about how it was the best thing since sliced bread.
Well, I had to try it. A gave the most-hyped local cold brew coffee a try and was left underwhelmed. The cold brew drink was better than average but, it left a bitter aftertaste on my palette. So I moved on!

STOK COLD BREW COFFEE
I had nothing to lose (other than a few dollar bills). So I figured why not? I hoped that SToK would be a great brew but I half expected it to be mediocre. Regardless, I gave it a try.
Impressed? Yup, I was very satisfied with SToK cold brew coffee. I drank the entire bottle the first time a relished every sip.
One very unique feature of Alaska is that we experience 24-hour daylight in the summer. On weekends following a particularly busy week, I need a little boost to help me enjoy the beauty of Alaska.
On the day of this shoot, my pharmacy school friend had dinner plans right after this photo shoot. She was visiting Alaska for the first time (seriously you should add Alaska to your bucket list).
I was tired from staying up the night before. I had no intentions of looking like a zombie!
So, I sipped on a bottle of SToK cold brew coffee during the shoot. This coffee energized throughout the rest of my shoot and for dinner with my friend. I even explored Fairbanks with her and her family after dinner.
Alaska summertime provides for non-stop adventure. And a great cold brew like SToK gets you going in the right direction :) I eventually retired to bed at 11PM.
SToK coffee + Alaska adventure = the best of both worlds.
So what’s the skinny on SToK cold brew coffee? Glad you asked!
STOK COLD BREW COFFEE FACT SHEET
- Made with a higher ratio of coffee beans to water than typical (you’re paying for the real deal!)
- Brewed with an Arabica based blend
- Low and slow 10-hour brew
- Affordable cold brew, craft coffee available at Walmart
- Not too sweet
- Bold, smooth and one-of-a-kind SToKness
This is definitely one of the best tasting cold brew to coffee ratio products I’ve tried. SToK makes it easy and affordable to get all this goodness whenever you need it. Save money at the coffee shops and get this great coffee at Walmart.
And if coffee is not your cup of tea, then you’d be happy to know that SToK Yerba Mate cold brew tea is a fantastic alternative for tea lovers.
With 75% more caffeine than typical iced tea, the SToK Yerba Mate cold brew tea provides a kick that’s stronger than most teas, yet gentler than coffee.
Tea was always a mainstay in my household, so I know a thing or two about tea. But this was my first time drinking cold brew tea. And it was an entirely different experience drinking the Yerba Mate.
This post would be incomplete without some words about my outfit.
I recently refreshed my closet with new summer-ready pieces. And this mesh bodycon dress was one of the items that made the cut. I love the floral detail and the semi-sheer fabric. It also includes an attached slip that stays in place.
My pair of shoes is a Badgley Mischka embellished sandals perfect for dressier looks. You can get it in red, black or silver colors but they are available in limited sizes and quantity.
The silver metallic color is a great option for special occasions like weddings and bridal showers. Although this sandals has many straps, it is surprisingly super comfortable. And the bedazzled t-straps are adjustable too.
My earrings are a recent addition from my favorite statement jewelry brand, Amrita Singh. You’ve heard me talk about Amrita Singh jewelry more than a handful of times over the years.
Their statement jewelry is made of high quality materials that last a long time. I’ve had some pieces for over 4 years. I’m wearing a pair of chandelier gunmetal brass earrings with rich Austrian crystals. And it is on sale for $30 (original $75).
My purse is an oldie from a few years ago and sadly unavailable anywhere. However, I’ve linked similar options for you below.
Final thoughts: SToK cold brew coffee should be on your household essentials (it is one of mine now). And if coffee is not your cup of tea, you have SToK Yerba Mate Cold Brew Tea as an option.
