1. UNIQLO

Uniqlo is a Japanese clothing company that sells a wide variety of clothing items for both men and women. While they specialize in adult and childrenโ€™s apparel, they also sell other products like cosmetics and fragrances.

Whether youโ€™re looking for a new โ€˜fit or buying a cute gift for a friend, going to Uniqlo is a one-stop shop.

Like H&M and Zara, Uniqlo also has stores all around the world, and their prices are even more affordable. For example, Uniqloโ€™s lowest prices hover around $7 for tops โ€” a good price for a cute new cami.

2. I.Am.Gia

Aussie-based I.Am.Gia is famous for its high fashion designs and unique streetwear clothing. The sisters at I.AM.GIA store create clothing that is both familiar yet refreshing-just like their signature “It Girl” character!

No trend research or forecasting needed because they design solely based on what inspired them–the capsules are all about new ideas for how girls want to dress up in today’s fashion world, giving you statement pieces with every outfit.

3. Nasty Gal

Nasty Gal is the perfect place for girls on-the go. With a wide range of products, from casual wear to evening dresses – they have everything you need at an affordable price!

I love how my orders are always shipped quickly and I’ve never been disappointed with the quality of my Nasty Gal order. I’m actually loving their loungewear collection right now.

And if their customer service isn’t enough reason alone why shoppers should check them out; there are also some really great deals that pop up every now and then that makes Nasty Gal a great H&M alternative.

4. Ralph Lauren

Ralph Lauren will always have a reputation as a manufacturer of distinctive polo shirts, but Ralph Lauren also produces the same kind of basics, denim, skirts, and dresses you might see at H&M.

These clothing pieces are excellent alternatives for individuals looking for high-end, traditional fashion at reasonable costs.

It is safe to say that a lot of customers who wear H&Mโ€™s everyday pieces would love Ralph Laurenโ€™s cute prints and terry hoodies.

5. Charlotte Russe

The clothing at Charlotte Russe is designed to reflect the latest trends in fashion, and their prices remain affordable for most shoppers.

The two chains of apparel stores (Charlotte Russe & Rampage) cater to different age groups. While one focuses on teenagers/youths, Rampage is geared towards a more mature audience.

It’s been a hot minute since I last purchased from this retailer but I’ll say that my favorite pair of round-toe stilettos were made by Rampage!

Fashion lovers who shop at H&M will also enjoy the youthful and feminine designs available at Charlotte Russe.

6. & Other Stories

If you want to find stores that sell similar clothes to H&M but are also more environmentally friendly, & Other Stories is a great choice.

This brand is part of the H&M group, but their clothing is sourced in more ethical ways. Additionally, most of & Other Stories clothing is made of sustainable materials like recycled polyester and good wool.

While this means that their price range is a little higher than H&M, & Other Stories is still a comparatively affordable brand. Once you try their high-quality clothing, you will probably find that the higher price tag is worth it.

The styles strike a balance between H&Mโ€™s typical choice of trendy or conventional apparel. I personally have this store on my radar!

7. Forever 21

Another fantastic store to explore if you adore H&M is Forever 21, especially if youโ€™re on a budget but still want to flaunt your style.

Forever 21 - H&M alternative

The store is also popular among young shoppers who want to build their wardrobes with pieces that are on trend but still mainstream enough so you can wear them without feeling too 13 years old.

Forever 21 was one of my go-to retailers as a new graduate – I picked up some decent-quality blazers and pants. Here’s one of those pieces!

8. Mango

If youโ€™re interested in stores like H&M for business casual clothes, Mango is a great place to start. Mango is a low-cost Spanish company and is similar to Zara in terms of pricing, but the style is slightly different.

Mangoโ€™s clothing can be a little pricey, but theyโ€™re reasonable compared to other high-end boutiques. The retailer has actually made a pledge to have all their pieces contain sustainable properties by the end of this year.

And if their sustainability goal still makes their price point a little difficult to swallow, Mango Outlet is the place for you!

9. Thred Up

ThredUp is a thrift store that sells clothing from popular designers and retailers like H&M and Urban Outfitters in addition to mid-range and high-end labels like Coach and Michael Kors.

Thred Up has a variety of vintage and pre-loved items and a lot of the styles are similar to what you might find at H&M.

One of the best features of Thread Up is the browsing experience. You can sort your search not only by size and color but by brand.

Not all fashion enthusiasts enjoy shopping second-hand, but it is a fantastic method to acquire stylish, name-brand clothes for a discounted price. Here’s an outfit I bought from ThredUp.

10. Express

Shoppers often turn to Express for stylish and well-constructed business casual looks. With the quality of pieces available, you’re bound to find a few H&M-like styles at express.

Although Express does not carry as many casual pieces and loungewear as H&M, it is a popular retailer among young people due to its reliability, quality, and value.

My friend, @Emmalyn, always finds the cutest blazers at Express. Give her a follow for unique ways to style pieces from Express.

11. Abercrombie & Fitch

One of the most iconic brands in America, Abercrombie & Fitch has remained a mover and shaker in the fashion industry.

Known for high-end casual clothes that are both stylish and comfortable at any time or day – this store will give you everything your wardrobe needs all under one roof!

If I could only choose one brand to shop for my denim needs, AE will rank high on that list. This retailer is actually a favorite among many.

12. Miss Selfridge

Miss Selfridge is a popular destination for shoppers looking for stores like H&M. When you need a new outfit for work or play, Miss Selfridge just might have what you’re looking!

This British fashion brand has been around since 1966 and is now sold exclusively online through ASOS.

Miss Selfridge - stores like H&M

Miss Selfridgeโ€™s style has feminine touch, so itโ€™s perfect for fashion lovers who enjoy cute dresses and mini skirts. Miss Selfridge also uses a lot of satin fabric, floral prints, and light-wash denim.

I also recently discovered a big selection of Miss Selfridge clothing on Walmart Fashion. You can find them here.

13. Modcloth

ModCloth is the ultimate store for shoppers who want to embrace their individual styles and have fun with what they wear. Mod Cloth is known for selling high-quality clothes of bold colors and fashion-forward pieces.

Modcloth has vintage-influenced clothing that champions female empowerment through its values and extended size ranges of trendy products in all categories.

Although they are a hub for vintage looks, this website is also the ideal destination for modern accessories, and more.

14. Rue21

Rue21 is a clothing store that has everything you need to make your life more fun and stylish. They have the newest trends at affordable prices, with clothes well made enough for any occasion or mood!

They also offer Free In-Store Returns on purchases, 10% off for students via Student Beans, and a generous rue21 REWARDS program with awesome perks.

One thing I really appreciate about rue21 is that they are size-inclusive and carry marry products in sizes up to 4X. I would love to see more companies be more intentional about including pieces in plus sizes.

15. Armani Exchange

Launched in 1991, the Armani Exchange is a budget-friendly and accessible line of fashion that targets an audience looking for a youthful street style.

Armani Exchange - alternatives to H&M

The design team at Giorgioโ€™s company didn’t want to limit themselves by designing just one type or age group when they could make clothing relevant across many different demographics with their fun designs!

This fashion line combines metropolitan living with music culture creating a high-end alternative to H&M.

The look and feel of this brand are particularly youthful and preppy, owing to their popularity in their urban design. Their ready-to-wear items are perfect for the young adult woman who wants to look put together while still โ€œin.โ€
