Hope you had a wonderful weekend? For me, it was a wet weekend plagued with flooding, road closures, and a terrifying foggy commute to work and back. When the rain finally gave way to some sunshine, I decided that it was about time to put on my House of Karis ballerina skater dress (also HERE) which I had tormented my sister, an aspiring designer to custom make for me. Rightfully so, it was a beautiful Sunday and I yearned to be that pretty girl in an alluring ‘tutu’ like dress. And besides, my upbringing dictates that I wear my best clothes to church.

Anyways, service was great and pondering aloud, I decided to cease this wonderful occasion to take some pictures. And of course, NK was once again the victim of my burning desire stuck on the other side of the lens. Feeling like a princess, whirling in my HOK ballerina dress, ignoring passersby who gazed at me because they had never beheld a sight as glorious as mine and paying no heed to that random guy parked illegally on the side of the road impatiently waiting for me to snap out of my fantasy and leave, I felt like this dress spoke my language!

As my fairytale fantasy came to an end, it started to drizzle. Caution gone to the wind, I ran off in shoes and all leaving nothing behind and letting the breeze caress my hair, I ran to my prince who was patiently waiting in his Camaro while I fulfilled my fairytale dream. And then it hit me, I remembered had a project due the following day (a journal club to be precise) and I was yet to get started on it. I swore bloody Mary and cursed in French and back to reality I was!
