Facial Routine

We all know that taking good care of your skin is always a good idea. But the bigger issue is finding the best skin care products for your skin type. By now, you are probably well aware of my insatiable desire to hunt down the best beauty products for my skin. This is a glimpse into my ‘ever changing’ beauty ritual; a blend between long time favorites and a few newbies.

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer: This oil-free tinted moisturizer is probably my most treasured beauty product. It goes really well with anything and everything – primer, concealer, foundation, powder. The fact that it is oil free with SPF 20 makes every other foundation pale in comparison to this product. I spilled the milk on this tinted moisturizer on a previous post (HERE).

***True Skin Care Anti-aging Eye Serum: I am a true believer in anti-wrinkle formulas. Whether it comes in the shape of creams, gels, or paste is of little importance to me as long as it does what it promises to do. The gel contains vitamin c which is believed to fight free radicals, aloe & cucumber to soothe puffy eyes, hyaluronic acid for hydration, and most importantly peptides and green tea to reverse signs of aging. Though packed full with all these ingredients, the anti-aging serum feels lightweight and very refreshing when used during my skin care routine. When used in combination with Bioque Pronto, the benefit I get is unsurpassed by any other anti-aging products I’ve tried.

***Bioque Pronto Instant wrinkle visibility zapper: Definitely one of my pick-me-up products that come in handy when I don’t get a complete dose of my beauty sleep. The Pronto contains GABA aka faux-tox, which leads to up to 90% reduction in fine lines/wrinkles that lasts up to 12 hours. My favorite part about the product is that it is thick, easily absorbed, and takes a few minutes before you start seeing noticeable results. Now you see my rationale for combing two different mechanisms of action (True Skin + Bioque) to provide optimum wrinkle-free results (not that I need it!).

EOS Lip Balm: At first, I could not comprehend all the rave about the eos lip balm but as soon as one was gifted to me, I became hooked. You know me and you know that chapped lips (cheilitis) is no stranger to my person (I talked more about it on my YouTube channel). The eos contains vitamin E, shea butter and jojoba oil which keeps my lips soft and prevents it from drying. Knowing that the beauty product is 95 percent organic, 100 percent natural and free of parabens and petrolatum gives me more assurance. Now, my lips are 9 out of 10 days cheilitis-free.

Mary Kay Signature Lip Polish: This product goes right on top of everything. It can be a colored lip gloss, a lipstick mattifier, and a toner. When I found out that Mary Kay was discontinuing this line of products, I was heart-broken. I knew I had to stretch it out for as long as I could and sadly, the lip polish is coming to its last leg. I have to turn/twist/bend the brush in every imaginable angle to get anything out of the bottle. So, the search is one for my next favorite lippie (maybe this MAC lipglass).

Victoria’s Secret Lip Scrub & Balm: Another recently discontinued product. Why?! But to end on a high note, I got a stockpile of this lip scrub when I found out it was no longer going to be restocked. I look forward to trying this Sugar Lip scrub once I run out. It has great reviews and might be a good product. What are your favorite beauty products/brands? As always, thank you so much for stopping by and I’ll be in touch with you soon.
