DAY 3 AT CAMELOT MATELOT, TRINIDAD
We made a quick dash to the nursery school where we met many adorable children then off to the construction site. We started working on the children play area clearing brushes and dead leaves from the floor. Trenches for the path to the camp fire site were dug out by the muscles in our group. Then we filled it up with rocks. The first phase of the transportation shelter was started uphill. It was really exhausting, but I felt gratified after seeing our progress. Work was followed by a short relaxation by the shore then a river bath. Then came dinner โ pilau, coleslaw, fried chicken and freshly made juice.
At night, we went to see the famous Leatherback turtle nesting site in Grand Riviere. It was really dark and we couldnโt use the flash on our cameras because it would distract the turtle. So, the only light we had was the red light from the guideโs pen light, hence the reason why the turtle looks red.
Just like to visit old posts and wonderful pics, so interesting ! adorable ! โฅ
