DAY 4: AT PARIA BEACH, TRINIDAD
More pictures from my trip to Trinidad……………..
Here, our boatman stopped the boat to show us Church Rock, a dramatic arch framing a pillar of rock.
A closer view of the Church Rock. Locals describe it as two palms
holding a face as if ready to pray. Maybe that’s where the name comes
from.

The journey to the isolated Paria Bay is not for the faint of heart. There are only two ways to get there. The first is a 2-hour hike through dense bushes. The second, a 45-minute boat ride in a local fishing boat aka pirogue on the Carribean Sea.
The charm of Paria Bay is one that cannot be ignored.
The tides sang a music to those who dared to listen.
How often can you leave your footprint hand-print on sands as isolated as this?
Drinking out of a ripe coconut while observing the terrific view of the surf was an experience that cannot be put into words.
Rajesh decided to make me a pregnant mermaid!!
A little gift (curtain holder) given to each one of us by Bernaldine, one of the DORCAS ladies.
It may not look pretty, but this Roti, chicken curry, and mango masala got me singing sweet nothings!
During the camp fire we had after the completion of our playground community work!
Hello guys, so on this day, went to Paria Bay. We had a wonderful time. Normally, I would stay away from the since my last experience of almost drowning in elementary school. But on this day, I summoned all the guts I had, pushed myself and went to join the others.

i cant find anyone that will tell me how much the boat ride is to that beach? Do you know or someone you know?
Thanks.
Hello I really don't know how much it costs. I was part of a group and the person in charge of the college trip made arrangements for us. Everything was organized through the DORCAS Women group in Matelot. You may be able to reach someone through their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/DorcasWomensGroupMatelotTrinidad)
