Hello all, I’m so glad that the weekend is finally here.
It has been a really long week for me, but I’m glad that my first pharmacy rotation is coming to an end. I’m quite impatient to face the challenges that the next experiential training will throw at me. Anyways, I decided to explore Denver last weekend and I went on a casual stroll to City Park. I felt like being casual (aka lazy) so I threw on a t-shirt and short and off I went!!
Typically, I wear t-shirts mostly indoors because I’ve had a difficulty in the past finding t-shirts that I feel “right” in. Because of my body structure I look like I’m swimming in a pond (i.e I look like a broomstick) whenever I put on non-fitted shirts —which in my opinion isn’t very flattering.
Moreover, wearing a t-shirt (also HERE) felt like the most practical thing for me to wear on this beautiful day. I threw on my UOLO Shirt and feeling sexy with myself… I headed out the door. Hey, why pass on an opportunity to represent my heritage?
So what does UOLO mean? There is a duality in the meaning of the name. UOLO means “gold” in Lingala (an African language) and it also means Us Overcoming Life Obstacles. The goal of this promising company is to have a brand that is attached to a culture which anyone can wear that reflects Africa while being casual and contemporary.
