No one is more ecstatic than I am for warmer weather and more daylight in Alaska. Shooting blog pictures at this time (1pm) two months ago would have been like playing Russian roulette because of the little daylight and bitter cold. Here, the sun was getting a little harsh which made it hard for me to keep my eyes open. Now I can swap my ugly, super insulated and uber warm winter coat and insulated skirt for a cute longline coat. I’m not sure what the deal is but I’ve been loving gray and white color combination with a pop of color lately. I also reviewed the longline coat in my January shopping on a budget post. 

And because I no longer need to wear head warmers, I chose to break in my French wool beret as the contrasting color for this look. I love that they can be worn in innumerable ways – watch my 10 ways to wear a beret above – hence I have them in many colors 🙂 I also tucked a fur scarf underneath my collar to complement my fur bootie and to add an extra touch to the look.
