Hello gorgeous! If you’re tired of very oily face, you’ve come to the right place. I’ve had this issue for as long as I can remember. I have tried everything under the sun and these are the best makeup products I recommend for anyone with very oily face. Here’s a quick, down-to-the-point mini-review.

BECCA Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector $36

The Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector by Becca is an oil-control primer that shrinks your pores giving you a mattified skin. The product acts as liquid blotting paper and the matte effect lasts up to 12 hours. I compared 3 different oil mattifier in a previous post (Becca, Laura Mercier, and Mary kAykAy) and loved this primer the most. It is silicone-free, oil-free, alcohol-free, and fragrance-free.

Final thoughts: Apply on clean dry face preferably after washing your face. Pay special attention to oil-prone areas like your T-zone. Wait a 2-3 minutes to allow the product shrink pores before applying your foundation.

LAURA MERCIER Tinted Moisturizer $44

This Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer is an oil-free lightweight makeup. It provides light to medium coverage so perfect for those who just want a hint of color to mask minor imperfections. It also contains UVB/UVA SPF 20 sunscreen to protect against the damaging effects of the sun. I have heard good reviews about the Bobbi Brown tinted moisturizer but I haven’t tried it yet because I don’t think it’s the best for oily skin. Have you tried it? Let me know what you think about it in the comment section below.
Final thoughts: Can serve as a base for more extensive foundations. This product is especially good for those with sensitive (acne-prone) skins. It can be layered for additional coverage.

    KAT VON D Lock-It Foundation $35

I love this Kat Von D Lock-It full coverage foundation because it is transfer resistant and also leaves a matte finish on my skin. This product provides a 24 hour long-lasting effect while being oil-free and paraben free without leaving a caky feeling on my skin. I noticed some shine at the end of my day with this product but I’ll take ‘some shine’ over a full on ‘glow ball’ effect.

Final thoughts: I’m in love with the packaging – an airless pump chamber that prevents contamination. It provides a matte finish and a hydrating effect both at the same time. Definitely the best full coverage foundation I’ve used.
The de-slick Makeup Setting Spray by Urban Decay is oil freeparaben free, and utilizes temperature control technology. I have had this product for a little over 3 months and I swear it’s like an invisible blotting paper. I also noticed that it prevents my eye shadow from smudging and fading. I use both this product and the Becca primer for maximum oil-free skin.

Final thoughts: Shake well and spray focusing on problem areas. Use after applying your makeup to fight against oil and shine. It even comes in a smaller size that fits into a purse ๐Ÿ™‚

My basic daily makeup routine is as follows:
    1. Apply the Becca ever matte primer (wait for 2-3 minutes)
    2. Apply foundation: Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer for light coverage OR Kat Von D lock-it foundation for full coverage
    3. Mist on Urban Decay setting spray all over face in a “Z” motion (3-4 sprays)

Quick tip: Try to wash your brushes at least weekly as it helps to prevent buildup of makeup and helps reduce frequent breakouts. P.S: If you found this mini review helpful, you may also love to read my post on 5 Hidden Gems to a Healthier Skin.
