Comprehensive Pixi Skintreats Review
Although it goes without saying that there is a big market for vegan skincare products, Pixi Beauty is one of the few brands that is at the forefront of making amazing products that work accessible to many.
It surely never hurts to go the extra mile and stick to brands that are not only renowned but work as they have claimed. Let’s get into this Pixi Skintreats review!
1. Hydrating Milky Makeup Remover
A natural makeup remover product from Pixi, the Hydrating Milky Makeup Remover is a fantastic bi-phase formula that just might become your go-to total makeup remover.
Trying it out, it removes waterproof mascara easily and other long-wearing facial makeup without stressing the skin or causing irritation afterward.
Also available at Target
This makeup remover leaves your face feeling moist and soft like a baby’s skin, which is a major plus for me. I use this product immediately after using this water-activated dry cloth or these facial wipes to remove long-wear makeup that just wouldn’t budge.
One thing about this product is that some people might find it a little oily. This is great for super dry skin but if you have combination oily skin like I do, follow up with the cleanser. Other than that, the scent is pleasant, the size is generous at 150 ml for $24 and I love the high-end dispenser.
The Pixi Hydrating Milky Makeup Remover does a good job of removing tough makeup while being gentle on the skin.
- An effortless and effective makeup removal for all kinds of makeup either for eyes, lips, and face.
- Keeps skin feeling hydrated even after makeup removal
- Effective on stubborn and water-resistant makeup
- Enriched with Coconut Extracts and Probiotics ingredients that help add moisture and gives a more balanced effect on your skin
- Provides anti-inflammatory benefits
- Not tested on animals making it a cruelty-free product
- Leaves skin feeling soft and clean
- Enriches and balances skin
- Suitable for all skin types
- Oat Extract
- Willow Bark and Cinnamon Extract
How to use:
Give this makeup remover a good shake to mix the product prior to use. The best way to efficiently apply the product is to soak in a cotton pad and gently rub on eyes, lip, or face to remove even the most stubborn of makeup thoroughly. Remember to store correctly.
2. Hydrating Milky Cleanser
A facial cleanser from Pixi Beauty Skintreat Milky Line collection, the Hydrating Milk Cleanser is a daily face wash that gives your skin a profound hydration result while protecting, nourishing, and making your skin feel dewy.
This Hydrating Milky Cleanser’s creamy mousse-like texture is great for all skin types, and that includes dehydrated and sensitive skin.
Also available at Target and iHerb
First impression? A little goes a long way with the Hydrating Milky Cleanser. The tube packaging style is easy to handle, easy to use, and store. One of the things I find interesting about this product is its quick, slightly foaming ability.
It lathers easily with water giving you a good facial massage. This cleanser contains a mild fragrance that was not an issue for me. But I know others may prefer a non-fragrant cleanser, just a thought.
Overall, it is a good cleanser that can give you a thorough cleansing look and feel. For a more intense clean, I really like this Elemis Superfood Facial Wash and Avon Anew Vitamin C Warming Peel. As a gentle cleanser, this vegan Pixi Beauty Milky Cleanser gets the job done.
- Deep hydration
- Cleanses, conditions and moisturizes skin calmly to prevent skin irritation
- Infused with active ingredients to keep skin healthy and nourished
- Jojoba Esters exfoliates and preserves the moisture of the skin
- Infused with anti-inflammatory Cinnamon Extract
- Certified paraben-free, sulfate-free, and cruelty-free
- Shea butter
- Willow Bark Extract
How to use:
It is advisable to use the Milky Cleanser daily, or as often as needed. Although recommended for daily use, you can apply this cleanser twice a day, or every other day. I use this cleanser right after using the Hydrating Milky Makeup Remover.
Successful application involves dampening your face and applying a pea-sized amount to your face using a cotton pad or clean hands. Gently massage the product into your skin in a circular motion to deeply cleanse the skin. Next, rinse your face with water or use a moist face cloth to remove the product.
3. Hydrating Milky Peel
A product tasked with clearing dead cells, impurities, and toxins in the skin, The Hydrating Milky Peel is specially formulated to deliver a skin brightening result.
This product is a lightweight, gentle micro-peeling cream enriched with natural cellulose and other skin-loving ingredients for gentle exfoliation of dead skin cells. The Hydrating Milky Peel minimizes the appearance of pores and improves skin tone.
Also available at Target
I love the inclusion of Arginine in the milky peel, which not only helps to increase collagen and elastin production for a firmer, plumper skin, but it also provides antioxidant benefits. This milky peel is also suitable for all skin types, which gives this product a plus in this Pixi Skintreats review.
I was not sure what to expect when I first used this exfoliate. The ingredients are smoother than other peels I’ve used. The texture of the peel is very gentle on the skin and it has a mild coconut scent, which I’m not mad about.
Unlike the Pixi Skintreats Milky Makeup Remover and Hydrating Milky Cleanser, the Hydrating Milky Peel is in a smaller tube (2.7 oz). But a little goes a long way. Although the product packing recommends using the peel daily, I suggest using only 3-4 times a week for a more cost-effective approach.
- Gentle exfoliating micro-peeling cream clears away dead skin cells and brightens your complexion
- Rich in skin-loving ingredients that work well together to nourish, balance, and protect your skin
- Arginine encourages collagen and elastin production and has antioxidant benefits
- Not tested on animals
- Natural Cellulose
- Willow Bark Extract
How to use:
I use the Hydrating Peel as step three in my Pixi Beauty skincare routine (following the Makeup Remover and Milky Cleanser). After cleansing your skin, apply a thin layer of the Hydrating Milky Peel to your clean skin, making sure to avoid the eye area.
Leave the micro-peeling formula on your skin for two to three minutes for it to exfoliate and hydrate the skin. Follow up with a gentle massage of the micro-peeling cream into your skin and rinse it off adequately with water, and you are good to go.
4. Milky Tonic Hydrating Facial Tonic
The Pixi Skintreat Milky Tonic is a lightweight liquid that soothes and balances the skin while keeping it nourished and hydrated. The gentle yet effective formula is rich in botanical extracts that help repair the skin and keep it looking bright and evenly toned.
The tonic comes with a barely noticeable floral scent that might be tolerable for those with sensitive skin. Many people expect toners to come with some amount of alcohol, this Hydrating Facial Toner from Pixi Beauty has an alcohol-free formula. The lightweight consistency helps the toner absorb quickly without leaving an oily layer.
Also available at Target
The PH level in the tonic is suitable for all skin types, and it helps skin maintain a healthy structure. I love the addition of jojoba seed oil and green tea for soothing well-balanced skin.
Like most (if not all) Pixi Beauty products, the Milky Hydrating Facial Tonic is cruelty-free and does not contain sulfates, parabens, silicones, and synthetic fragrance.
- Balances and hydrates skin to soothe your complexion, and comfort irritated skin
- Provides essential hydration and nourishment as it relaxes your skin
- Hyaluronic acid repairs and restores the skin’s natural moisture
- Loaded with antioxidants
- Paraben-free, cruelty-free, alcohol-free, and sulfate-free
- Jojoba Seed Oil
- Oat Extract
- Green Tea
- Orange Peel Extracts
- Hyaluronic acid
How to use:
The Milky Tonic can be used in the morning or evening as you deem fit. I use the Milky Tonic as step four in my makeup and skincare regimen. With a cotton pad, apply this gentle toner even on your face and neck.
Wait for about a minute for the product to dry before moving on to the next step of your skincare routine.

5. Hydrating Milky Serum
With a perfect 5-star rating, the ultra-lightweight nutrient-rich serum daily hydrator, the Hydrating Milky Serum remains a bestseller from the Pixi brand.
This serum was launched in the Pixi 2016 Spring Collection (source). The milky serum has proven its worth as an excellent hydrating serum that leaves the skin feeling plump and dewy.
Also available at Target and Amazon
This product is a beautiful combination of Rose Extracts, Jojoba oil, Vitamin C and E, and Aloe Vera. Personally, the scent of the rose extract scent is delicate and subtle, but some might not be comfortable with it. Like many serums, the Hydrating Milky Serum comes in a small tube of 30 ml. You only need a drop or two for your face.
My only gripe with this product is that the dropper felt a little flimsy. I kinda found it difficult pulling up the serum into the pipette so I got no product when I squeezed the pipette. Apart from that, I love this serum. This super-absorbing serum will not leave you feeling sticky after application.
This would be perfect for no-makeup days. If you want to take things a step further, you can supercharge your skincare regimen by mixing this serum with your facial moisturizer like the Hydrating Milky Lotion.
- Restores dehydrated skin leaving it looking dewy and radiant
- Silky-smooth lightweight texture super hydrating without being heavy
- Enriched with Glycerin to give the skin a plumped effect
- Paraben-Free and Cruelty-free
- Aloe Vera
- Vitamins C & E
- Jojoba Oil
- Rose Flower Extracts
How to use:
Use this product as step five if you follow my six-step regimen. Alternatively after cleaning and wiping your, massage 2 – 3 drops on your clean skin. Let the serum absorb before applying your moisturizer. This product is safe for use one or twice daily.
6. Hydrating Milky Lotion
Speaking of the Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky Lotion, this multi-use lotion from the Hydrating Milky Line collection can be used on the face and body. This moisturizer promises an increase in long-term skin moisture, leaving your skin hydrated, boosting skin health and texture, and any skin type can make use of this lotion.
Also available at Target
As a skincare lover, I really appreciate that the texture of this lotion is lightweight. It melts quickly into the skin, leaving deeply hydrated skin in its wake. Personally, I save this milky goodness for my face since $24 for a 135 ml product would not last a very long time.
- Multi-purpose lotion perfect for use on face and body
- Skin deep, long-term hydration to improve skin tone and moisture
- Paraben-free, Alcohol-free, Silicone-free, Sulfate-free, and Cruelty-free
- Shea Butter
- Cocoa Seed Extract
- Sodium Hyaluronate
How to use:
Used alone or in conjunction with Hydrating Milky Serum, mix about one to two drops of the Pixi serum with a pea-sized amount of the lotion. Rub on face and neck.
You can also replace your daily body lotion with the Hydrating Milky Lotion for an all-over body moisturizer. I suggest using the Hydrating Milky Lotion in the areas you want to see changes in your skin.
