If you’ve already seen that post, you probably know I admire this woman-led brand from my days in Alaska.

But I also know that forking out $$$ on skincare products is not exactly change money. So, I decided to take their bestsellers and most-wanted collection/kit on a spin.

The result was one full week of trying the famous Colleen Rothschild Discovery Collection, The Exploration Kit, and the Quench & Shine Hair Essentials Travel Kit.

When I say I’ve tried almost everything available, I kid you not! Thanks to Colleen Rothschild for gifting me (and you – see details below) these luxury skincare and hair care products.

…And I still use it! Keeping it 100% real with you, as a beauty blogger, part of my job involves trying and reviewing skin care products like moisturizers, makeup products, eye cream, foundation, you name it.

I am also sharing my skincare routine, thoughts, and reviews. For this post, I tried to use Colleen Rothschild’s product almost exclusively for the entire week.

I started my morning routine at night, so I’ll kick this off with my PM routine.

PM Routine

I used the Balancing Gel Cleanser one night of the week after taking off my makeup. The cleanser is designed to cleanse the skin while protecting its normal pH thoroughly.

The texture and the light scent made cleansing my skin even more exciting.

I followed this with the Matcha Tea Treatment Toner (using the Super Soft Facial Cotton Swabs), which contains Kombucha Black Tea and Japanese Green Tea.

This helps detoxify, protect, and absorb excess oil (yasss!) and minimize the look of pores. The antiseptic power helps minimize future breakouts. I love the soothing feeling of this toner.

Next, I applied the Extreme Recovery Cream and let that absorb for a few minutes. This cream rehydrates dry skin without leaving you feeling greasy.

It reminded me of Olay Whip moisturizer. And this also fights signs of fine lines and wrinkles (yes, please!).

Finally, I sealed my PM routine with this Vitamin C Treatment Complex formulated to improve natural radiance and clarity while reducing the appearance of hyperpigmentation.

On another night, I settled on a simple three-step process involving the Dual Enzyme Polish, the Extreme Recovery Cream, and the Face Oil Nº9 trio. 

The microspheres in the Dual Enzyme Polish specifically slough off dead skin cells with targeted deep exfoliation. This product is seriously amazing.

If you have sensitive skin, I recommend using it once or twice a week. Leave the product on for 5 – 10 minutes, then wash off using circular motions.

As the name suggests, the Extreme Recovery Cream provides much-needed moisture to the skin (great for all skin types). And the top-selling Face Oil Nº9 provides an “intense moisture boost and deeply nourishes thirsty skin.”

This product left less greasy residue than the CBD Face Oil. Unsurprisingly, this oil is one of Colleen Rothschild’s most popular products.

I used the Balancing Gel Cleanser, Matcha Tea Treatment Toner, and Sheer Renewal Cream for another nighttime routine. 

The lush Balancing Gel Cleanser supercharged my makeup remover effect by going even further for smoother and revitalizing dull skin.

The Matcha Tea Treatment Toner tones, detoxifies, protects, and absorbs excess oil. The formula dries quickly without leaving the skin feeling “stripped off” of all oil.

The Sheer Renewal Cream provides continuous weightless hydration while promoting cell turnover, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

This product leaves a nice powdery finish that could be the foundation of a great makeup base.

AM Routine

One morning during the week, I wiped my face using the Glycolic Acid Peel Pads with Blue Agave. These pads are spa-strength treatments.

It felt like it contained a small amount of particles that agitated dead skin. I wasn’t a big fan of the smell. But if it works, it works. I followed this treatment with the best-selling Radiant Cleansing Balm.

The Radiant Cleansing Balm was one of my favorite products from this AM routine. The balm melts between your palms, and it totally soothes the skin. This product clears congested pores and removes impurities, leaving the skin soft and radiant.

After wiping off the balm, I reached for my tried-and-true Mandelic Acid Radiance Serum. There’s something special about this serum – Mandelic acid is a gentle and effective form of alpha hydroxy acid (AHA).

It has a lightweight, non-greasy formula that promotes cellular turnover and improves skin texture. I love this product so much that it cut my 3-month stint to remote Alaska. I can’t turn down the extra hydration!

Lastly, I applied two drops of CBD Face Oil. Seriously, a couple of drops go a long way! As someone with combination-oily skin, I noticed that I wiped my face more often than I’d like to admit.

I hesitated about using this CBD product (as a healthcare worker), but it’s a non-psychoactive formulation containing 300mg of Broad Spectrum Cannabidiol.

I recommend using this product at night. Combined with Vitamin E, the CBD Face Oil nourishes and calms irritation, redness, and dryness.

I opted for the Clarifying Detox Mask and the Intense Hydrating Mask combo for a quick morning skincare routine.

Although both are masks, they feel like Yin-Yang. I applied the top-rated Clarifying Detox Mask before brushing my teeth and jumping into the shower.

The thick consistency of this activated charcoal and French Kaolin clay deeply detoxifies the pores.

I heard so many great things about activated charcoal, and I even used it to make African black soap when I lived in Nigeria. I haven’t used many masks, but this might be my favorite charcoal mask!

Next, I applied the Intense Hydrating Mask for about 15 minutes and wiped off the excess product (you can leave it on overnight).

This mask gives the skin a boost of concentrated hydration, strengthening its elasticity and suppleness. It also helps even out skin tone, texture, and moisture levels.

Another morning routine I tried was a combination of the Balancing Gel Cleanser, Glycolic Acid Peel Pad with Blue Agave, Vitamin C Treatment Complex, and Paula’s Choice Youth-Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid with SPF 50.

The Balancing Gel Cleanser addresses important skin issues, such as irritated skin. Even if you have delicate skin, this product is gentle enough to be used as needed.

The Glycolic Acid Peel Pad with Blue Agave is a great product to add to your skincare arsenal, especially if you want to unclog pores and target hyperpigmentation and fine lines.

Wipe a pad over your face, neck, and décolleté after using the Gel Cleanser and let it dry before following with the Vitamin C Treatment Complex.

Massage a pea-sized amount evenly over your face and neck, then use an SPF moisturizer. Since the Glycolic Acid Peel Pad with Blue Agave contains alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), which could increase skin sensitivity to the sun, an SPF-containing moisturizer is a great idea.

I recommend Paula’s Choice Youth-Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid with SPF 50 as a beauty product for this task.

The water-light formula contains broad-spectrum protection that fights visible signs of aging and promotes firmer-looking skin.
