My twin sister made me do this! If you’re on my mailing list, you probably already know everything about this African print swimwear set, the two-piece Fulani backless monokini.
Recently, twin sis and I went on a trip to Brussels. We got to see the Manneken Pis, Jeanneke Pis, and the highlights of Brussels and Namur. We also made a quick stop at Bruges on our way back from Ostend where we shot these photos rocking this matching ankara African print swimwear.
I may not be the best swimmer or even know how to swim, but I love swimsuits, beach wear, and African print clothes.

During one of my routine, African print clothes online searches, I discovered some stunning ankara swimsuit sets. The prices, however, were less than fabulous.
After months of simmering on the idea of creating a vibrant swimsuit set that did not cost an arm and a leg, plus a few more weeks of going back and forth to the drawing board with my production partners, I quietly launched the Fulani African print monokini set on Amazon.
Yes, I said it! I officially have my own product on the market. Not backed by an angel investor or with funds from huge retailers but nurtured through my sweat, tears, and frustration.
Self-doubt/fear held me back from sharing the ankara set with you sooner.
You can check it out here!
I researched, learned, applied, and modified the style twice before bringing the most gorgeous and wallet-friendly, high-quality ankara swim set to you.
Here are a few photos of the African print swimwear set styled on different body types thanks to my blogger friends.
A little side note, the Fulani African print swimsuit runs a little small so I recommend going one size up than your usual size for the perfect fit.
Please know that due to budget limitations, I could only introduce a few sizes during this initial launch. But not to worry though, if all goes well, I plan on introducing the Fulani African print swimsuit in more sizes in the coming months.
Most importantly, I would love your feedback: What do you think about it? And what changes would you like to see?
So far, I’ve gotten suggestions for larger sizes (currently available in XS – L) and more coverage (like shorts instead of a bikini cut).
For those who prefer to shop on Etsy, I’ve also made it available on Etsy with free shipping. But the swim set costs a little more to help cover the costs associated with selling on the platform.
You have no idea how much your support so far means to me. So, thank you!
I totally understand if this set is outside your budget right now. Please take 5 seconds to retweet this post on Twitter or share this link https://www.lapassionvoutee.com/fulani on social to help spread the word with others who might be searching for the perfect African print swimwear on Amazon.
