Betabrand Yoga Pants Review: Is This Yoga Dress Pants Really Worth It?

About 4 months ago, I complimented my coworker about how amazing a pair of pants looked on her. She told me it was a pair of Betabrand Yoga Pants.
Yoga pants?” I asked, certain she might have misspoken.
“Yes, yoga pants.”, She responded. “I have three pairs of Betabrand yoga pants. They are super comfortable. I wore them all the time while I was pregnant.“

Yoga pants and dress pants are two different things, I thought. These must be different. She allowed me to feel the fabric and showed me how stretchy it was.
This conversation piqued my interest in Betabrand pants. Over the course of several weeks, I researched on Betabrand yoga pants. And before we knew it, talking about the best clothes and shoes became our favorite thing to talk about.
Later that week (or so), she told me that there was a Betabrand sale going on. But there was one problem. I could not figure out what size (regular, petite, tall) or cut (bootcut, straight leg…) to buy.
Betabrand Yoga Pants Review
Since I am slightly taller than her and the fit guide recommended sizing up for those in-between sizes, I ordered a size small Regular. I bought the classic Black Dress Pant Yoga Pants in Straight-Leg.
For reference, I am 5″5 and roughly 135 lbs. I typically wear a size 4 (XS or S depending on the brand).
Within a few days, my Betabrand yoga pants was at my door. Now this is a big deal when you live in interior Alaska. With excitement, I ripped open the package to try on the pants. To my surprise, the pant was too big. ?
The waist of the pant had three inches of extra fabric, and the hem was too long in an unflattering way. BUT, the material felt terrific on my skin. The pants had the perfect amount of stretch to it.
I was determined to make it work. But hemming the pants, as many people suggested, was not an option for me (too expensive).
So, I called Betabrand customer service. Fami, the representative, suggested that I do a return for store credit if I wanted an exchange. Since Betabrand offers a 110% store credit (or 100% refund to your original form of payment), I chose the store credit option.
Since I bought the Betabrand yoga pants during a sitewide sale, I was going to lose out on that discount. I shared my concern with the representative, and he sent me an email with a unique discount code to apply on my next order. ?
Return shipping was free from Alaska, which is a rarity. As soon as my return was confirmed, I placed a new order.
This time, I bought two items. I ordered the same Black Dress Pant Yoga Pants in Straight-Leg but in extra small. And the Straight-Leg Tuxedo Dress Pant Yoga Pants pictured in this post also in extra small.
These pants are super comfortable. Just like my colleague, I now wear my Betabrand yoga dress pants on repeat mixed in with my Zella Live in Leggings. These Betabrand yoga pants are perfect for both casual and dressier workplace settings. I never feel like I have to adjust or tug on my waist even after having a meal.
I have not had any rips, tears, saggy knees or loose butt fabric in the pants, which is a problem for many stretchy clothes.
Although I wish both of these Betabrand yoga pants had pockets, the absence of pockets creates a cleaner and more streamlined fit and appearance. Can’t be mad at that!
I workout a few times a week. But, I have not worn these pants to the gym nor do I have any intention to exercise in them. Ah, these pants are too fancy :). I also don’t like to mix my workwear or workout clothes.
Thinking of getting the Betabrand yoga pants? I say go for it! I recommend sizing down if you’re in-between sizes especially since the fabric is extra stretchy. Betabrand’s inseam measurement is accurate for both pants.

Work-Appropriate Pink Sweater Outfit
I love pink clothing. It might very well be my favorite color (although I don’t have a favorite). I’ve had friends, colleagues and strangers compliment my looks. Some of them have told me that they have a hard time styling bold colors/print. And have no idea where to start.
So I decided to put together this pink sweater (similar) outfit with the Betabrand tuxedo dress pant yoga pants and that I bought during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.
This pink sweater outfit is a simple way to wear bright pink as we approach the colder months. The key here to pair the bright pink sweater with a darker shade of bottoms, like black pants.
Ribbing textures of the pullover combined with those dark-toned sleeve buttons are details that make this simple sweater outfit stand out. The contrasting tuxedo-stripe of the ponte pants is a unique feature that adds more flair to this stylish outfit.
Do I have your attention? Good 🙂 Think about your outfits as a section of thirds (1/3): head to waist, waist to knees, and knees to feet.
From head to waist:
To keep the top third of my body from looking too plain jane, I threw on a set of statement jewelry. Amrita Singh jewelry is my go-to affordable brand for quality jewelry pieces that last a long time.
I’m wearing both the shell shape necklace and earrings that have a gold-tone finish that matches my ballet flats (similar). This jewelry pops nicely against the bright pink sweater.
Earrings, scarves, sunglasses, and headpieces (hats, berets, or scarves) are a few items you wear to draw the attention of the eyes to you. Next, we have the waist area.
Waist to knees:
Belts, purses, and bangles three accessories that come to mind. I do not have a lot of action going on in this area, but the eye-catching sleeve buttons (similar) of my pink sweater and dome-shaped satchel (similar) quickly attract the eyes.
Knees to feet:
We all know that your choice of shoes can make or break an outfit. I could have worn a pair of stilettos, platform wedge, or even sandals. But I opted for a pastel pink flats (similar) with matching hardware to my purse and necklace.
For this office appropriate-look, the Tory Burch flats (similar) seemed like the most practical shoe to wear. The pastel color of the shoe ties the entire pink sweater outfit together without it being too matchy-matchy.
With all of these pieces together, you would get lots of compliment when you’re spotted rocking your pink sweater outfit.

Hello, lovely review post! I’m looking to purchase a pair of the Betabrand skinny pants in the same size you got. Was wondering if you find the skinny pants run bigger than the other styles? Hi Bibi, thanks for reaching out. I usually size down with Betabrand pants (I get XS instead of S). But the XS in the skinny leg pants ended up being too tight. I am 5’5 and bought my first pair back in 2016, I think. The straight leg fit my height perfectly, so I bet a few tall girls complained and they added a few inches to the bottom. I bought a gray pair a bit later and those were fine, too. The NEXT time I bought them, they were 3 inches too long, as you said. I was so bummed because I’d have to take the time to hem them. I wish they came in lengths!!!!!!
Having the pants in different lengths would make a lot of difference for sure. Maybe that’s a recommendation you can suggest if you leave a review on the product page.
