If you’re looking for a pair of high-waisted leggings that will make your butt look fabulous, then the Zella Live In High Waist leggings are worth checking out. I’ve tried them, and here are my honest thoughts.
On January 6th, I started a new fitness routine. A coworker literally walked me to the gym to sign up. It was exactly the push I needed.
Since then, my obsession with finding the perfect pair of comfortable, moisture-wicking, tummy-control, and opaque leggings has been on the rise. Extra points if it doubles up as a casual work pant and ultimate travel wear.

I’ve gone through more than a handful of leggings that make some of these promises only to be let down two or three wears into it. After months of searching for the best pair, I’m happy to break this to you that the Zella live in high waist leggings is the only pair of leggings you need!
I’m one of those people who read product reviews before placing my order. So, I naturally scrolled to the bottom of the page to learn about the reviews of the Zella live in high waist leggings.
I was impressed that this single pair of high waist leggings had a record-breaking 4.5+ star review from over five thousand (5,000) verified buyers.
I placed my order confidently, knowing that Nordstrom offers free shipping and returns on all orders. My only regret is not buying more than one pair of this Zella live-in leggings on the spot.
For reference, I wear a size 4. 130-ish lbs, 5”5, and 8.5/9 in shoes.
I’m not one to wear leggings to work. But I’m game when the leggings are thick and easily double up as a pair of fitted pants that are super comfortable.
I work in a professional setting, and semi-casual workwear outfits are our norm.
No matter what pants I wear, I prioritize feeling comfortable, especially at work, at the gym, and on long flights to and from Alaska. Pulling and tugging on my pants is a distraction that can be counterproductive.
Zella live in high waist leggings review
I was hooked on the Zella Live in Leggings the first time I put it on. This legging is made of high-quality fabric (88% polyester and 12% spandex) to withstand a lot of tension. It is perfect for your workout and athleisure needs.
As I mentioned, I wear these to work with a beautiful blouse and closed-toe shoes (restyled here).
Living in Alaska means long travel/layover times and these two pants are the only clothing I feel most comfortable wearing on long trips.
The Zella live in high waist leggings does not peel, and it has excellent tummy control without being restrictive. This leaves your mid-region smoothly sucked in under your top.
The leggings are the perfect length for someone of average height and tall individuals. But those who wear petite sizes may need to get a minor length alteration to the leggings.
I noticed that the leggings stretch out a tiny bit after a few wears. But it bounces back to its original form after a wash.
I’ve gone through one too many leggings that stretch out and stay stretched out forever #soannoying.
What I really like about this high-waisted leggings:
- Moisture-wicking feature
- Soft and smooth wear
- No roll, high waisted design
- Non-restrictive, medium tummy control
- Wide waistband to protect your rear
- No-show, opaque high-quality fabric
So my point is that you can LIVE IN these Zella live in high waist leggings 😉 I wear this high waisted tummy control leggings on heavy rotation because it’s that good.

Zella high waist leggings with a Pink cowl neck sweater
I know I said I do not have a favorite color. But here’s another pink sweater outfit for you! Sweaters with ruffles and exaggerated sleeves have been the “it” style for a while, and it looks like they are not going anywhere soon.
I was drawn to the pink cowl neck sweater (similar) because of the frills on the shoulder. The ribbed detail and generous sleeves made this sweater a keeper. Sadly, this hot pink sweater is an oldie from my wardrobe. This ruffle pullover sweater is the closest style I can find.
And the same thing goes for my taupe structured purse (similar).
Pink Cowl Neck Sweaters on Amazon
Since I am an in-between size, I wanted to order a size 9, but it was out of stock. So I settled for 8.5. It fits snugly without being uncomfortable.
The suede is soft without looking cheap. And the braided bands are plush and comfortable to walk in all day. The footbed is lightly cushioned for convenience. If you like this braided flats, I suggest you make the purchase before Amazon decides to hike the price on them again.
