Today, I’m sharing this stunning modest midi dress that won’t break the bank. And I’m also teaming up with Laura from Walking in Memphis and Erin from The Fashion Canvas in their weekly Trend Spin series.
Although I bought this under $30 gorgeous dress a few weeks ago, it is still in stock. And it is available over 30 different colors and pattern combinations. How cool is that?! And my bow pumps, the perfect summer heels are now available on Amazon.

One of the struggles I had in the last few years was investing in pretty summer dresses. Why? We have a very short, but beautiful summers in Alaska. And the pharmacy was kept at a lower temperature partly for the stability of the medications and the majority of the male coworkers.

So pants, jeans, sweaters, and outerwear were my preferred clothing of choice Monday through Friday even during the summer months.
I shared this summer dress a few weeks ago on Instagram, but I love my blog family enough to finally get this post up. If you follow me on the LIKEtoKNOW.it app, you’ve probably already seen this dress, sorry!
This swing dress has two side pockets large enough for a cell phone, keys, or small wallet. The colors of this yellow version I’m wearing is just as pictured; vibrant and stunning. I am wearing a size small (runs true to size) and has a mild stretch for comfort. And guess what? This modest midi dress is available up to XXX-large for my plus size ladies.
You will not need to wear a slip under this dress because it is thick and breathable. The wide u-neckline is non-restricting giving the dress that elegantly conservative yet stylish appeal. It also has a hidden back zip for convenience.
The short sleeve is fitted but not snug. There’s nothing worse than fabric rubbing uncomfortably on your underarms. I have my eyes on this red polka dot design, it’s the #1 best-seller in women’s wear dresses, and a couple of the floral options.
The great thing about this midi dress is its versatility. Wear it as part of your everyday style, to work, to church, to weddings, graduations, and other special functions. The shoes and accessories you pair with this dress determines how laidback or dressed up your ensemble appears.
Speaking of shoes, I’ve had this bow pumps for at least three years (seen here and here). I bought this exact pair from JustFab, which sold out a long time ago. But they are now available for under $35 on Amazon. The red color is what I see most bloggers wearing. I also have it in pastel pink that I bought from SheIn or Romwe.
Other cute colors of these bow pumps are green, fuchsia and navy blue. And guess why they’re so popular?
These bow pumps is not your everyday shoe, but it’s a fantastic price for a pair of shoes you’ll probably wear a handful of times in the year. Think about summer weddings, holiday events, cocktails, and red carpet ceremonies.
As for accessories, I’m wearing a metal bow belt (very similar) that I scored on ASOS years ago. ASOS and Boohoo used to be my go-to destination for trendy and affordable pieces. They routinely have sales and offer students special discounts.
I just checked and ASOS a new version of the metal belt without the bow. The belt has held up over time and maintained the gold color too. I highly recommend this ASOS version. Or you can stack your bet on this cheaper alternative.
